Tokyo Racer Showcase

After starting my morning with another meet in Cypress, I headed down to Houston’s Chinatown to check out the Tokyo Racer event hosted by Tokyo X, along with Café-Racer at Claw Wonderland.

The event had already been going on for over an hour by the time I finally arrived. I quickly parked my car and grabbed my camera so I could capture as much as I could before heading out for work. There was a row of rides in the front with a row of vendor setups right in front of them. You could also see other rides in the parking lot. I just captured the ones close to the venue, so just within a row or two from the main area. Besides the cars, they also had some cosplayers out. I mainly focused on the rides, as I am not a fan of that whole paparazzi effect that was going on.

After capturing most of the rides and a brief chat with some of the others there, I headed out. Are you going to the Tokyo X event coming in September? It’s a while away, but plenty of time to plan.

I grew up around american muscle working on cars with my dad, but by the time they were ready to get me a car, they wanted something reliable and good on gas. Picked up my first civic and started modded years back which introduced to the import scene. I still have a soft spot for some old school american muscle.
