Coffee & Cars Toy Drive 2025

With the holidays just around the corner, many local car events are combining their events with toy drives. Yesterday morning, Coffee & Cars hosted their annual toy drive at Post Houston. I was set to arrive early, but there was construction and a lot of people trying to get here, so I sat and waited for a while.

After finally making it into the parking lot area and finding a spot, I grabbed my camera and ventured into the display area to start my coverage. I was on a time crunch as I had to get back to the north side for work, so I tried to capture most of the rides in the main area as fast as I could. Some of the higher-profile cars drew a good crowd, and even though the event had just started, the pile of toys was already pretty big.

There was a small burst of raindrops, but that quickly went away, and it stayed clear for a little while. While making my way through another few rows of cars, it started coming down a little harder. Many people made their way to the covered areas to wait it out. Luckily, it was short-lived and stopped soon, even though the weather forecast was saying rain would come much later in the day. After the main area was completed, I quickly moved to the extended area and snapped photos of the rides that caught my attention. I even ran into some familiar faces I haven’t seen in a long time. It was good to reconnect. Hopefully, I will be able to make it to next month’s gathering. I do expect colder weather next month, but hopefully no rain. Will you be at the next one?
