There are some things as an event host you just can’t control or predict. One is weather, and the other is what’s going to conflict with the event. The weather was looking good, but as I was in route to our brewery meet, I was greeted with a ton of traffic on I-45. It was pretty much a very slow crawl. It took some time to get to Copperhead brewery, my usual 30 minute trip took over 3 hours.
There ended up being some spill on the highway which causes all the traffic. I’m sure this prevents some others from coming out, I almost turned around myself. I finally did arrive to see some rides still out in the lot. Unfortunately, some of the rides had left before I grabbed my camera to snap photos. I ended up taking photos of the rest of the rides that stuck around for our coverage.
By this time, I-45 was clear of the problem and a few more rides made it out to the meet. I spent some time hanging out and chatting with others at the meet. I stayed out for a while, but it wasn’t much longer till it was time for the end of the meet. Stay tuned for our next event!
